With only one and a half days to prepare, Ontrac were commissioned to manage a prestigious event in East London with Whitehall which addressed the Government’s actions on Anti-Social Behaviour. Staggeringly, Ontrac managed to sort all the design and staging - AND prepared all AV for live broadcast with Talk Sport radio.

The event, attended by Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Home Secretary Alan Johnson and Communities Secretary John Denham, was a huge success.

Project Director Claire Shand, based at Ontrac’s offices in Nailsea near Bristol, said: “We got the brief on Friday 30th October– and were on the road on Monday 2 nd November. The whole Ontrac team pulled out all the stops, and I can honestly say that this was the tightest turn-round we’ve ever worked to – and that’s saying something!

“On the day itself we were given just 30 minutes from receipt of programme to tailor the lighting and sound ready for the live broadcasts with TalkSport.”

With the event primarily focussed on London, there were delegates from the Police, PCSO’s, the voluntary sector and representatives from public sector organisations. Following the launch of the new Services’ Standards in October by the Home Secretary, the event discussed the plans for what the Government is doing to tackle anti-social behaviour – and to reassure the public that they were taking the subject very seriously.

Ontrac’s CEO, Jonnie Galvin-Wright, added: “This event was a real testament to Ontrac’s tried and trusted teamwork and expertise in providing integrated services. And I’m delighted to announce that Ontrac have also just been awarded the contract for managing the Government’s Roadshow to improve responses to Anti-Social Behaviour across five locations around the UK. We start that week beginning November 23rd.”
